REC Annual Conference - Rome

Owners of Eclipse Solar, John and Brett Pearson recently visited Rome for the REC partner summit. Amongst being entertained in true REC style, the big topic of discussion was built around the struggling Solar industry, not only in Australia but world-wide, and the importance of partnering long term with large fully integrated Solar suppliers.

In these difficult times the industry will see solar manufacturing plants closing their doors due to the rapid drop in Solar Module Sales, and manufacturers being forced to drop their prices below cost.

While the drop in sales has been great for our customer’s hip pockets, the trend will have an effect on the future of our industry.... with the rising cost of Chinese labour and the increasing price of silicone many of the key Chinese manufacturers will not be able to continue to operate.

It is now more important than ever to partner with a fully integrated solar manufacturer. REC is the most integrated solar company in the world.
